This site has just gone up. What exists so far is the structure: the writing, the shape of the data layer, and the rules the whole thing is built to.
Working on
- The first essays.
- Choosing the first three datasets to clean and publish. The test is that the raw source should be public but painful to use, because that gap is where the work is worth doing.
Next
- A browsable data section, generated from each dataset's own metadata rather than a list kept by hand.
- The first two tools — one small and rule-based, one that genuinely needs a wide screen — built together so the plug-in design is proved rather than assumed.
